Everyone welcome back to my channel today; we’re going to be going over how to create a report in salesforce. So, this is a really requested. Video and not. A lot of people know how to make reports in salesforce, but it is pretty simple: we’ll go overa few of the different ways to make reports udand how to get there. So right now, we are currently in the sales console on our home page. So, let’s go-ahead and click this down caret and we’re going to find reports, all right, go to reports and any user can create reports just understand that the report will be only the records that they are visible to, the user.
So, let’s say the user can only view leads or records that are assigned to them. Henchey’ll be able to create reports and only see those records that are assigned to them all right. We are in the reports, tab Solet’s, go ahead and click new report up here all right. So here we can choose the different objects, so objects in salesforce are just what houses, the information, so we could go with accounts contacts leads and opportunities. Leadsand, there are a bunch of different cross. Filters that are already here within the report, type but for the sake of making this quick video.
I just want to get just leads and not bringing any other information all right and I’m going to update the preview automatically or click that on because, if it’s not on, then it won’t update until you save it and run it so here it shows that we donor, we don’t Have any leads, so I’m going togo to filters, I’m going to click all leads and of all time and then that’ll get us to a good base to start with. So, this is what you’d call a tabular report. It is just a table nothing being filtered here, but we have the option to create other filters. So, what I’m going to do is i want to sort it and have over here, have it been bucketed by the different lead status or lead rating.
Excuse me all right, so you can see over here. These grouped ratings do not have any rating attached. We have one hot rating; we have one war reading all right and this there’s a lot of fields so over here. What i can doon the side is, drag and drop, which fields i want or get rid of them. So, what i want to remove title remove leader owner because i already know that own. These leads I’m going to remove street and there we go other things we can do is let’s say. If we had, we could drag annual revenue or double click it and you’ll be able to see. What that is, and so we’re going to summarize it wean click over here.
On this drop and we’d beagle, to summarize it or average it out max Menand, we can also sort it here. So really this is just a fancy: excel spreadsheet or google sheets, whichever you’re more familiar with, all right and that’s kind of the basics. Of reports, let’s go ahead and save this and then we’ll be good to go. I’M going to call thymus my leads grouped by reading because that’s what it is so we grouped it by rating and they’re all my leads.
If we wanted to break it, downy a different filter, we could filter it by um company and how to only show one company, Solet’s say over here we have abbot insurance, we could filter it down to only show leads from avid insurance or if we wanted to filter it down By lead source and have it be how many came from a purchased list of phone numbers or leads all right, but right now the filters are the most open.
They are I’m going to click save and. It’s my leads by reading the unique report name. This is just the system name. There will be underscores in between each word in place, Ofa space, and then here you can select.
The folder different folders have different sharing attached to them, so it might be if it’s in your private folder you’re, the only one that can see it but if you’re. Creating this report. For a group of users to be able to access, then you’d want to choose folder. That is shared. Like public reports. Orlet’s, say you have a sale and marketing reports. Then you put that in that folder but.
I’M just going to put this InPrivate reports. Just for me, click save and over here I’m going to click, run you also have the save and run option, but here we go weave. My leads. I have a total of 22 leads with an estimated revenue of 1.25 billion from these leads, and that’s how you create a report.
