Georgia
Traveling on United States Path 1 through Georgia will require several hours. The route extends from the north city of Augusta to the southerly community of Folkston, with Augusta being the only significant city it passes through in the state.
It is a country route, going through lots of small towns
and towns and big ranches with huge fields
that produce massive amounts of cotton, winter months
wheat, corn, soybeans and peanuts. Georgia happily
generates even more peanuts than any other state in the
nation, and Vedalia, Georgia produces the sweet and
coveted Vedalia onions in the spring.
United States Course 1 has remained inland because Connecticut, yet
in Waycross, Georgia, it starts an easterly course to
the Florida shore, where it will continue to be up until its end
in Key West. For now, appreciate the gorgeous abundant, red
clay and huge areas that compose Georgia.
Throughout your check out to Georgia, consider making a detour to the captivating historic city of Savannah. Adhere To US Path 16 West from Oak Park to reach Savannah and the spectacular Tybee Island region. Savannah supplies a variety of destinations, such as the well-known “Yard of Great and Evil” and numerous scenic tours showcasing the beauty of this seaside city.
As you near completion of your trip heading southern on Course 1, Florida is simply a couple of miles away, making Georgia’s size appear considerable in contrast.
